Hey Sweet Girls!
Hope you are getting lots of time in the sunshine these summer days! I wanted to remind you of your homework. We are reading Chapters 4 and 5 in your book and doing week 2 and 3 in your Companion Guide. I know that is a lot, but this week we are meeting at the pool!! Yeah! So, get your suit on and bring your towel to:
1105 Deep Woods Trail
Brentwood TN 37027
We will keep our same time 4-6pm. Kristina is bringing snacks!   We will be off the following week to celebrate the 4th with our families.

Please pray for Jess, Maddy, Millie, Okland, Claire and myself who are serving at e-camp this week. We have over 100 campers coming to worship God!

Can't wait to see you on Wednesday and enjoy splashing around together!

Week #1

Hey Girls!
Loved seeing your sweet faces this week! Thanks to Tori and McCall, our peer mentors for joining us and sharing their thoughts and wisdom.
We dove right into Ephesians by reading Chapter 1 and talking about how difficult it must be to live in a town that worships an idol. Talk about going against the grain and standing alone. The Christians at Ephesus had to be so strong. I am encouraged by that, and that God had Paul write them a letter to speak truth to them.  The homework for Ephesians is to mark the word God,  and Jesus and their pronouns on your observation worksheet or in your Bible. Remember how we marked them in 242 by drawing a purple triangle and coloring it in with yellow? Let's do the same thing in Ephesians chapter one. Remember to distinguish Jesus by putting a cross over His name.
Next we read the introduction to LYWB and took the quiz in our Companion Guide.  That was eye opening. I personally struggle with #1 and #13. I loved hearing your hearts as you shared about your own struggles. The Deceiver is crafty and he hits us all where we are weak. Homework is to read Chapter 1 and work through page 18 in your Companion Guide.  Learning about Eve and how she was deceived is eye opening. Satan has not changed in his tactics. Our job is to learn our enemies was so we don't fall for his lies. Let's get wise together!
We have a color theme for snacks this summer!! This week was yellow. I am going to keep you guessing about next week. All I am saying is come hungry!
Leave a comment if you have something to share. I look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday, and hearing from you who went on the Flannel Project!

Love,

Hey There Sweet Friends!
I am so glad you are here and joining us for a summer dive into God's Word! We are going to be spending time the the book Lies Young Women Believe by Dannah Gresh and Nancy Leigh DeMoss as well as studying Ephesians in God's book!

We know summer is a crazy time full of family vacations and trips, but don't let that stop you from joining us at my house on Wednesday's from 4-6, or right here! You will never regret spending time in God's Word, and in fellowship with friends! Have I talked you into it yet?! I hope so. Please come this Wednesday, I have planned some yummy treats you won't want to miss!

Here is a taste of what we will be talking about......

And you will know the Truth and the Truth will  make you free.
John 8:32

"Back in the  garden, Eve met an imposter with a diabolical agenda. He wanted Eve to become his slave by rejecting God and His purposes for her life. The serpent craftily asked,
"Did God actually say, ' You shall not eat of any tree in the garden?'" (Genesis 3:1b) That's not exactly what God had said, but it certainly sounded similar. God had told Adam (and Eve) they couldn't eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Satan used a clever combination of half-truths and falsehoods posed as Truth. He began by planting doubts in Eve's mind about what God had actually said.... He wanted her to turn her back on God, to reject His Truth, and to believe his carefully crafted lies.... and she did. And that's exactly what the great imposter wants you to do."
Lies Young Women Believe p. 22

Come and let's learn together what life looks like when we really believe the Truth!

Love ya'll
