Hey Girls!
Loved seeing your sweet faces this week! Thanks to Tori and McCall, our peer mentors for joining us and sharing their thoughts and wisdom.
We dove right into Ephesians by reading Chapter 1 and talking about how difficult it must be to live in a town that worships an idol. Talk about going against the grain and standing alone. The Christians at Ephesus had to be so strong. I am encouraged by that, and that God had Paul write them a letter to speak truth to them. The homework for Ephesians is to mark the word God, and Jesus and their pronouns on your observation worksheet or in your Bible. Remember how we marked them in 242 by drawing a purple triangle and coloring it in with yellow? Let's do the same thing in Ephesians chapter one. Remember to distinguish Jesus by putting a cross over His name.
Next we read the introduction to LYWB and took the quiz in our Companion Guide. That was eye opening. I personally struggle with #1 and #13. I loved hearing your hearts as you shared about your own struggles. The Deceiver is crafty and he hits us all where we are weak. Homework is to read Chapter 1 and work through page 18 in your Companion Guide. Learning about Eve and how she was deceived is eye opening. Satan has not changed in his tactics. Our job is to learn our enemies was so we don't fall for his lies. Let's get wise together!
We have a color theme for snacks this summer!! This week was yellow. I am going to keep you guessing about next week. All I am saying is come hungry!
Leave a comment if you have something to share. I look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday, and hearing from you who went on the Flannel Project!
Love,
barb
